Miss Africa USA Pageant celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year, 10 years of empowering young women who are impacting their nations and communities both in the United States of America and across the Continent of Africa.  With the 2015 Theme “EMPOWERING THE FUTURE” it is no surprise that we have attracted a powerful woman who has done so much in empowering women across continents.

She is none other than Ms Elizabeth Vazquez, President, CEO and Co-Founder of WEConnect International.  She sits on several Boards of Non-Profit Organizations including The Clinton Global Initiative.  Ms Vazquez will C0-Chair the Miss Africa USA 10th Anniversary ceremony to be hosted at the Fillmore Theater in Silver Spring Maryland where hundreds of women and men will be witnessing the coronation of the next African Queen in America.  Please join us welcome Ms Elizabeth Vazquez who has accepted to join us and also deliver an important keynote address to inspire everyone.

Elizabeth A. Vazquez is the President, CEO and Co-Founder of WEConnect International, a corporate led non-profit that helps to empower women business owners to succeed in global markets. She is a serial social entrepreneur and world leader in global supplier diversity and inclusion.

Ms. Vazquez is the co-author of the book, “Buying for Impact: How to Buy from Women and Change Our World.” The book includes information on women business owners and ways to support and leverage their potential to create a more sustainable and inclusive global economy.

As the CEO of WEConnect International, Ms. Vazquez is responsible for mission delivery and partner development in every region of the world. The WEConnect International network includes local representatives in 17 countries, and the corporate network represents over US$700 billion in annual purchasing power.

Ms. Vazquez sits on several Boards of Directors, including the Global Banking Alliance for Women and the Cornerstone Capital Group, and is an Advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative.

Ms. Vazquez has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University where she studied development economics and international negotiation as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow.
