Miss Nyasah Zimucha got to work soon after being crowned Miss Africa USA in November 2008.  She barely had a break from the pageant event, responding quickly to an invitation by the Diamond Empowerment Fund a non-profit organization founded by Russell Simmons. DEF hosts charity events during the year to benefit communities in Africa where Diamond is being extracted.
