My name is Diana-Melissa Ngoumape. I first moved to the United States in 2013, then lived in Cameroon for five years and Ghana for four. I speak English, French, and Sango fluently, and I’m currently learning Spanish, Arabic, and Mandarin.
I have a background in Business Management and International Relations, and I work as a supervisor at a retirement home, where I’ve grown to love connecting with the elderly and hearing their stories. I find my happiness in serving others, whether it’s through my work, my foundation, or everyday acts of kindness.
I love working out, playing sports, and traveling to discover new cultures and ways of life.
I created NDORA, a platform dedicated to empowering girls, youth, and mothers through education and opportunity. I’ve already begun organizing educational activities and using my voice at events back home to advocate for access, dignity, and long-term solutions. My vision is to one day build a school that brings real change to underserved communities across Africa.
I’ve lived through two wars and come from one of the poorest countries in the world, but through it all, I’ve held on to hope. Through Miss Africa USA, I want to bring African people together across borders, languages, and backgrounds to work toward the common good of our continent. My story is proof that even in the middle of struggle, purpose can rise.
I believe in a dream with a mission, and you are never too small to make a difference when your heart is big enough to serve.
