Imani Ogunro is a proud Nigerian-American advocate, author, and creative based in Austin, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a Minor in Marketing from the University of Houston and an Associate of Arts from Austin Community College. With experience in the luxury and beauty world, Imani combines her passion for self-expression with a heart for community empowerment.

She is the author of What’s That Smell? A Girl’s Guide to Hygiene—a practical and confidence-boosting resource for middle and elementary school girls navigating puberty and self-care. Imani also serves as an ambassador for Outreach Productions, one of Austin’s longest-standing nonprofit organizations, where she supports youth empowerment and cultural awareness initiatives.

Through the Miss Africa USA platform, Imani aims to inspire African girls across the diaspora to embrace their identity, lead with purpose, and reconnect with their roots in powerful, authentic ways.
