MALABO: QUEEN GIGI AND DELEGATION REHEARSE FOR FASHION SHOW FOR THE 9TH SULLIVAN SUMMIT

It looks and feels like Paradise and indeed it is a Paradise, the Sofitel Sipopo luxury hotel resort where the 9th Sullivan Summit Fashion show took place. It was one of the best social event events of the Summit and Miss Africa USA Delegates took center stage that evening.  Before the show that brought the house down that evening, the girls were in for a little treat at this beautiful hotel resort with fashion designer Vanessa Masters of La Vie Couture.  The concept of the fashion show centered around the pool side where delegates will stand around the pool side, sipping on their wines and chewing some olives and assorted snacks, the girls would then parade in the most beautiful Afrocentric inspired gowns by La Vie Couture.

A great rehearsal would ensure that all the models knew what constituted the runway and would feel comfortable walking on that surface.  It was just the perfect setting though it turned out to be the setting for the rehearsal only.

Queen Ghyslaine Tchouaga, Miss Africa USA 2012 gets made up and transformed for the fashion show at the Sofitel Sipopo Luxury Hotel in Equatorial Guinea.  The Fashion show which took place inside the hotel, not at the pool  side as originally planned was a very glamorous and elegant affair. Ms Vanessa Masters brought the best out of the models and they in turn did justice to the outfits they each modeled.  Photos and videos from  the fashion show will be available soon.

Special thanks to the President of the Leon H Sullivan Foundation Mrs Hope Sullivan Masters for giving the Miss Africa Pageant delegates a great opportunity and platform to showcase their skills and abilities not only on the runway but more so for being among the leaders who attended the Sullivan Summit.  It was an awesome opportunity for the young women who are considered as future leaders of Africa and the world to be inspired by those who are in power.
