To commemorate her 23rd birthday, Miss Africa USA 2011/2012 along with a group of friends gave back to the DC General Family Shelter. Hosting more than 134 families, it is DC’s largest shelter. During her service there, Miss Africa USA donated winter gear to families. A gesture that will keep residents warm during this cold winter.
The Shelter is home to several women and their children.
By providing warm clothes and coats for the families, the Queen fulfilling her mission as a Goodwill Ambassador and Advocate for communities in need.
The children were full of smiles, the mothers full of appreciation for donations they received from Queen Ghyslaine Tchouaga.
