The pageant received a great show of support from the African community and also friends of Africa after the 2006 event. Several enquiries from around the country led to the launching of the nation wide preliminaries enabling team members from the pageant organizaton to go out to differerent States to carry out preliminaries after which finalists were selected to represent their countries in the grand finale in Atlanta Georgia. Pageant officials visited several cities and states accross the United States of America in search for beautiful young and talented African women to represent their countries. Preliminaries were carried out in Boston, Dallas, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Minesotha and other States. It was quite an interesting experience for the pageant organizers dealing with the growth of the pageant in this way.
