A couple of months after the California pageant, the team was rolling out the red carpet for the 2007 Miss Africa USA pageant. 21 beautiful girls from different African countries were represented in the pageant. Miss Nigeria broke the record and stopped Liberia from winning the crown a third time.
Mfonobong Essiet stunned the judges with a very regal African attire fit for the African kingdom, imported all the way from Nigeria. She impressed the audience and the judges so much with each appearance that she was described as a real African Queen.
There was so much excitement from the audience who could hardly keep their feet as each performance by the delegates was unique and very competitive.
