Recently the City of Sierra Leone was hit by days and days of rainfall which led to excessive flooding in some parts leaving hundreds of people dead and thousands more displaced from their homes. It was declared and national disaster and the government has appealed to the International community for help. Miss Africa USA Nereida Lobo has joined forces with NGOs to support the efforts in collecting and packaging donations of food and items of clothing to be shipped to the victims. She is encouraging everyone to do same. Everyone should contribute to the effort she says, it really makes a difference.
