Dr. Aretha Makia

Established the Miss Africa USA Aretha Makia Scholarship Fund for the Queen.

Dr. Makia is a former Beauty Queen, she was crowned Miss  Cameroon in Cameroon in 1991. She is a renowned OB/GYN Surgeon in the State of Maryland and a Philanthropist.  Dr. Makia’s mission is to encourage young girls to value education because beauty is skin deep and goes beyond the physical appearance.   She established the Aretha Makia Scholarship Fund to Support the Miss Africa winners in their pursuit of their education, career advancement or self-development.
