Miss Africa USA Support For Children In Conflict Regions: A Holiday Fund Raiser Made a Difference

Meeting Parents Whose Kids Were Killed in Massacre, Kumba, Cameroon

Miss Africa USA organization and the reigning Queen Sherylene Grice wasted no time after learning of the horrific events of Oct 2021 when gunmen went into a school in Kumba, Cameroon and murdered several children, also wounding many and left them with severe injuries. The community continues to mourn the loss of these children and the impact on those who survived is un-imaginable. The 2021 Virtual Holiday Party in the heart of the Pandemic was organized to raise fund for the victims families. Miss Africa USA Organization collaborated with Voices of Children’s Foundation, BGC Melody, Cameroonian Artists Askia, Dee Joyce and Bah’Ndong for the fund raiser. Former Miss Cameroon USA Nora Ndem represented Queen Sherylene who could not travel due to restrictions. Queen Nora was acompanied by Cameroonian Artist ASKIA as well as the City Mayor of Kumba to visit the school and spend time with the families as well as provide financial support.
