*Porscha Lee Taylor Makes History as the First-Ever Honorary Queen Ambassador of Miss Africa USA*
Washington, DC – March 29, 2025 – A new era of global leadership and cultural unity was ushered in on March 29th as Porscha Lee Taylor was crowned the first-ever Honorary Queen Ambassador of Miss Africa USA. This historic coronation not only commemorated the 20th anniversary of the pageant and Women’s History Month but also introduced a visionary new ambassadorship designed to amplify voices across the African Diaspora and beyond.
The prestigious high tea coronation, held at the historic Fraser Mansion in Washington, DC, was more than just a celebration—it was a moment that resonated across continents, reinforcing the importance of cultural identity, empowerment, and global solidarity.
As the crown was passed, former Miss Africa USA 2023 and Miss Eritrea Universe 2024, Snit Tewoldemedhin honored Taylor, solidifying her place as a symbol of perseverance and progress. Taylor’s journey with Miss Africa USA began in 2019, when she made history as the first African American contestant to trace her ancestral roots to Africa and represent the African Diaspora. She emerged as 1st Princess, marking the beginning of an extraordinary legacy.
Now, stepping into her new global role as Honorary Queen Ambassador, Taylor embraced the responsibility with unwavering determination: “Delayed but not denied,” she declared, speaking to the resilience of dreamers and change-makers worldwide.
