Miss Africa USA Teizue Gayflor’s visit to Liberia will not be complete without meeting the government officials to introduce herself and her mission in the country as the Reigning Miss Africa USA. She visited the Vice President at his office in Monrovia who congratulated her on the efforts she is making to better the lives of children in Liberia.
Her love for children took Miss Teizue Gayflor to Liberian orphanages to visit orphans who had survived the war but lost their parents. The children were of all age groups from babies to teenagers. Miss Teizue spent time volunteering at the orphanages and donated gifts for the children.
Miss Bridget Moses a Georgia based African Designer designed some of the outfits for the contestants. The pageant MC for 2005 Ms Emelia Orubele kept the audience excited and engaged through out the night. One thing is for sure, when you attend the Miss Africa USA pageant, you are sure to find a wide variety of African dishes to wet your appetite. Foods from different countries so that there is something for everyone. The pageant organizers always seek out the best African chefs to prepare dishes for the guests. So if you are an African Chef, you know to call during pageant time and get your spot on the line up of African cuisine. It is very true that there is a great deal of Patriotism at the pageant each year. Guests rally around the delegates from their own countries and wave flags and chant to them on stage. There are always very exciting moments.
