The Miss Africa USA Pageant Salutes Mr. Sam Mobit best known as DJ Chick for outstanding Community Spirit. Mr. Sam Mobit who is branded as DJ Chick and Friends is an Internationally know DJ, very reputable and professional in the field
of Music and Entertainment. He has been moving the DC Metro area international scene for over 15 years now, having DJ’ed in several upscale clubs and lounges in the area. Several clubs have gained A-plus accolades, thanks to his commitment and service to them.
He is one of those African DJs who have shown total commitment to put African entertainment on the map, promoting African music and culture in North America. Although he admits that he has seen the African night life grow year after year in the metro area, he has never stopped promoting Africa through his love of Music. This December, DJ Chick jumped on board as one of the newest members of the Miss Africa USA Team and behold, he gave the girls a time of their life. Indeed he is a DJ with the Full Package and we SALUTE HIM for excellent service to the Pageant and the African Community as a whole.
DJ Chick comes on board the Miss Africa team with a package that included total hospitality for the girls so they could have fun in a safe and secure environment. Hosting a delegation of forty something young, beautiful and successful young women is certainly not child’s play. DJ Chick extended an invitation to the girls who had traveled from across the United States of America to Washington DC to attend the Semi Finals which took place Saturday Dec 1 2012. For some of the girls, it was their first time in Washington DC and they were all excited. The Welcome happy hour which DJ Chick and friends organized for the girls was full of fun and the girls all had a blast.
They had a VIP reception at the famous Lux Lounge in Washington DC where they had two Security Officers guarding them, thanks to DJ Chick and Friends. The Welcome happy hour was an ice breaker for the girls to meet and mingle with one another in a relaxed atmosphere before Semi Finals the next day. The girls had so much fun and said they were well taken care of.
DJ Chick also took up the responsibility of providing entertainment at the Miss Africa USA Ball on Saturday Dec 1st 2012, a Red Carpet event which marked the unveiling of the Miss Africa USA Finalist. The event which was attended by several honored guests, including Mrs Hope Sullivan Masters, CEO of The Leon H Sullivan Foundation who is currently serving as the Honorary Chair of Miss Africa USA Pageant, Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, Kenyan Ambassador to The United Nations, Dr Mrs Aretha Makia, Co-Chair of the Miss Africa USA Pageant and her husband Dr. Asek Makia, Several African Diplomats and community leaders. DJ Chick left no stone un-turned as he thrilled the guests with the best and latest sounds from the motherland.
The Miss Africa USA Pageant is proud to team up with DJ Chick amd we welcome him on board the Miss Africa USA team. The Pageant has enjoyed an excellent relationship with some of Africa’s famous and reputable DJs in North America
and we continue to build on those relationships as we move forward in projecting a positive image of Africa globally. In the past we have worked with DJ Selmo, DJ Sam from the African Experience Radio Show in Atlanta, DJ Fly another internationally renowned
DJ and we have enjoyed a great service working with all of them. Miss Africa USA Pageant values the role of DJs and how they contribute to the successful production of the pageant, so we therefore have great respect and honor for the DJs who join our tea
